UPSC CSE 2025 Results Announced: Anuj Agnihotri Achieves Top Rank

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) for the year 2025 on March 6, 2026. This announcement highlights the names of 958 candidates who have been recommended for appointment to prominent government roles, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), among other central services. The merit list showcases a diverse group of candidates, indicating the competitive landscape of the examination.

Examination Structure

The Civil Services Examination is held annually and consists of three distinct stages: the Preliminary examination, the Main examination, and the Personality Test (Interview). For the 2025 cycle, the written examination was conducted in August 2025, followed by the personality tests that took place from December 2025 through February 2026.

Vacancies and Selection Details

The government has identified a total of 1,087 vacancies for this cycle across various services, which includes 180 positions in the IAS, 55 in the IFS, and 150 in the IPS, in addition to roles in Group A and Group B central services. Furthermore, a reserve list containing 258 candidates has been maintained in accordance with the examination guidelines set forth by the commission. The UPSC has indicated that the individual marks of the candidates will be made available on the official website within fifteen days following the announcement of the results.
