Teenager Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Lucknow

A 17-year-old student from a school in Lucknow lost his life following a tragic motorcycle accident, which occurred during a street race. The victim, identified as Naitik Kumar, resided in Gomti Nagar and was riding his Bullet motorcycle with a group of other bikers on Sunday morning. According to officials, the incident took place as they were heading towards Janeshwar Mishra Park.

Accident Details

As Naitik approached Gate No. 5 of the park, he reportedly lost control of his speeding motorcycle, resulting in a collision with a scooter that was positioned in front of him. The impact caused his motorcycle to become unstable and crash into another vehicle. Subsequently, Naitik was thrown off his bike and struck a divider directly. Authorities confirmed that he suffered severe head injuries due to the crash.

Injuries and Medical Response

Two other individuals involved in the accident, Aditya Srivastava and Krishna Singh, sustained injuries as well. Emergency personnel transported all three to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, Naitik was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Meanwhile, the other two individuals received primary treatment before being discharged.

Witness and Investigation

The accident was recorded by a GoPro camera belonging to one of the bikers in the group. Eyewitnesses reported a state of panic in the area as people rushed to the scene following the crash. Naitik was noted to be the son of Ram Iqbal, an engineer working in the electricity department.

Police Inquiry Underway

Local police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the precise circumstances surrounding the accident. Sudhir Awasthi, the Extension Inspector for Gomti Nagar, stated that CCTV footage from the vicinity is under review to help clarify how the collision transpired. Authorities will determine further actions based on their findings.

Family’s Decision Regarding Post-Mortem

The family of the deceased has opted not to proceed with a post-mortem examination. Following their decision, they transported Naitik’s body to their ancestral village in Barabanki for final rites, emphasizing their wishes in the matter.
