T-Series Joins Forces with Kartik Aaryan for Upcoming Film ‘Captain India’

Kartik Aaryan and T-Series continue their fruitful partnership, having previously collaborated on five successful films. These projects include the box office hits Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and the upcoming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Their latest venture together is Captain India, a film that promises to build on this successful track record.

Production Details and Timeline

According to insider information, T-Series has officially joined the production team for Captain India after recognizing the film’s potential. The story is penned by Harman Baweja, who is also producing the film alongside T-Series.

The casting of Aaryan and the alignment with director Shimit Amin, known for his work on Chak De India, were significant factors in T-Series’ decision to come on board. Production preparatory activities have been completed, with filming set to begin sometime in the second quarter of 2026 in locations including India and Morocco.

Director’s Return

Captain India marks the notable return of director Shimit Amin after a hiatus of 17 years. Amin made a strong debut with the critically acclaimed Ab Tak Chhappan in 2004, followed by the iconic Chak De India in 2007, featuring Shah Rukh Khan. His third feature, Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year, released in 2009, encountered a lackluster box office response but later achieved a devoted following among viewers.

Background and Future Projects

The film Captain India initially commenced development in 2021 with director Hansal Mehta attached to the project. In addition to Captain India, Kartik Aaryan is collaborating with T-Series on another film, an untitled musical saga directed by Anurag Basu, set for release in the latter half of 2026.

Currently, Aaryan is filming for the movie Naagzilla, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who gained recognition from the Fukrey series, and he is also involved in another project with director Kabir Khan.
