Sex, Murder and Occult Twist: MBBS Student Strangled to Death by Boyfriend, Naked Body Found

The CSR Journal Magazine

A 24-year-old MBBS student from Indore was reportedly murdered by her boyfriend, who allegedly strangled her during an argument over their relationship. The incident took place in a rented flat located in the Dwarkapuri area. Police discovered the victim’s body on January 13, alerted by neighbors who noticed a foul odor coming from the premises.

Upon entering the flat, officers found her lying unclothed on a bed. Initial examinations indicated that the woman had been strangled, as there were visible marks around her neck suggesting the use of a rope. Authorities believe her body had been in the flat for several days prior to its discovery.

Accused Apprehended in Mumbai After Fleeing Indore

The flat where the crime occurred was reportedly leased by the accused, identified as Piyush Dhamnodiya, who had been in a relationship with the victim. He was later arrested in Mumbai. Prior to this, the victim’s father had reported her missing on February 11, stating he had dropped her off near the Collector’s office the previous day, after which she did not come home. Investigators began to draw connections between the missing person’s report and the body found in the flat.

Details of the Incident Uncovered During Interrogation

During questioning, Dhamnodiya claimed that he and the victim had a long-term relationship but frequently quarreled due to disagreements about marriage, particularly stemming from family opposition. On the day of the alleged murder, the couple met at the rented flat to discuss their issues. Investigators reported that after engaging in physical relations, yet another dispute erupted regarding their future together, which ultimately led Dhamnodiya to strangle her in a fit of rage. Following the act, it is believed he tied her up before leaving the scene.

Attempts at Occult Practices Claimed by Accused

After fleeing Indore, the accused reportedly remained inside the flat for a short period before locking up and leaving. He traveled to Panvel, Maharashtra, where he checked into a hotel for the night. There, he reportedly engaged in tantric rituals, claiming he was attempting to call back the spirit of the victim. Dhamnodiya subsequently moved to Mumbai, where he was seen traveling on local trains. His actions also included carrying the victim’s mobile phone, which he later disposed of in Maharashtra.

Factors Leading to the Murder Investigated

According to police reports, Dhamnodiya harbored suspicions that the victim was in contact with other men through various mobile applications, which was purportedly a source of contention in their relationship. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Krishnalalchandani, confirmed that Dhamnodiya is now in custody for further questioning. Investigators are currently examining digital evidence, including call detail records and forensic analysis, as part of the ongoing investigation.

Victim’s Family Raises Concerns Over Online Harassment

The victim’s father has previously alleged that his daughter experienced significant stress due to the circulation of explicit photographs and videos online. Furthermore, he indicated that she had been subjected to blackmail and pressured to pay for the accused’s educational fees. Investigations into these claims are still in progress.
