PM Modi Highlights Global Energy Concerns Due to West Asia Conflict in Tamil Nadu

The CSR Journal Magazine

During a public gathering in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the impact of the ongoing conflict in West Asia on the global energy supply chain. He reiterated the government’s commitment to the “India First” ideology, asserting that prioritizing Indian interests remains paramount. PM Modi encouraged citizens not to succumb to panic or misinformation and advised them to share only verified information. He stated, “In any situation, our government has consistently prioritized the interests of Indians. Even now, we will continue in the same manner,” affirming confidence in the nation’s resilience to navigate challenges.

Response to External Crises

While acknowledging the concerns surrounding the situation in West Asia, where many Indians are employed, PM Modi assured the public of the government’s dedication to safeguarding their citizens. He highlighted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) governments have always utilized their resources to assist Indian nationals in times of crisis. “Today’s India does not abandon its people in distress,” he stated. He also extended gratitude to Gulf nations for their cooperation in ensuring the safety of Indian expatriates, mentioning 24/7 support from embassies, including provisions of food and shelter.

Political Criticism and Allegations

In his remarks, the Prime Minister took aim at the opposition Congress party, claiming they have made irresponsible statements amidst the global crisis. He accused Congress of attempting to leverage the situation for political gain while endangering Indian citizens abroad. “It is unfortunate that the Congress party seeks to play politics during such critical times. Their statements are designed to disrupt and create tensions,” PM Modi remarked, asserting that their actions are motivated by an agenda to undermine his leadership.

Call for Political Change in Kerala

PM Modi urged the citizens of Kerala to consider a shift in their voting patterns, suggesting the need to move beyond the United Democratic Front (UDF) and Left Democratic Front (LDF) governance. He pointed out that after over seven decades of rule by Congress and the Left, it is time to allow his party, the BJP-NDA, to demonstrate its commitment to development in the state. He stated, “You will witness significant progress for Kerala if given the opportunity to serve you.”

Critique of the DMK Government

Furthermore, the Prime Minister criticized the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government in Tamil Nadu for allegedly perpetuating a “scientific corruption model.” He mentioned that since the electorate brought the DMK to power in 2021, the party has failed to fulfill its responsibilities. He accused the DMK of betraying the mandate and claimed that power ultimately remains centralized within a single family. Additionally, he highlighted allegations of corruption, such as a prominent minister from Tiruchirappalli being involved in a significant cash-for-jobs scandal.

Development Initiatives Unveiled

During his visit, PM Modi also unveiled several development projects in Tiruchirappalli, amounting to approximately Rs 5,650 crore. These initiatives reflect the government’s ongoing efforts to bolster infrastructure and improve the quality of life in Tamil Nadu, affirming its commitment to regional development.
