Khan Sir’s Bodyguards Allegedly Fired on His Instructions

The CSR Journal Magazine

Faisal Khan, widely known as “Khan Sir,” together with two of his private security personnel, has been named in a First Information Report (FIR) regarding a firing and vandalism episode that took place outside his coaching centre in Patna on June 2. This announcement was made by police on Friday, following earlier reports that a group of 15 to 20 individuals allegedly vandalised the Khan Global Studies Institute and threw stones at its facilities.

According to law enforcement sources, the two bodyguards, who were detained earlier in connection with the firing, claimed during their interrogation that they had discharged their firearms under the explicit instructions of Khan Sir. They asserted that the shooting was prompted by an altercation outside the coaching centre, which escalated as a crowd gathered around the scene.

Details of the Security Guards’ Claims

The guards, identified as Pradeep Kumar, aged 38, and Talebar Singh, aged 34, both originating from Uttar Pradesh, were allegedly employed through a security agency based in Noida. During their questioning, they revealed that they fired two rounds each from their licensed .315-bore rifles after receiving directives to do so. They further indicated that Khan Sir was present at the location when the shooting occurred.

In the aftermath of the incident, police officials reported that the weapons purportedly used in the firing have been confiscated and sent for forensic analysis. The two guards were subsequently placed under formal arrest. During their interrogations, they presented their arms licences as required.

The incident became widely known after a video of the firing circulated on social media, leading to police action and the detention of the bodyguards involved.

Ongoing Investigation and Allegations

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kartikeya Sharma has confirmed that Khan Sir is named in the FIR and will be summoned for questioning as the investigation continues. However, specific charges against him have not been disclosed at this time.

Earlier, following the vandalism, Khan Sir had alleged that individuals from a competing coaching institute were responsible for the attack. Despite this assertion, he acknowledged that only a police investigation could conclusively reveal the facts of the matter.

Contrarily, members of the rival institute have accused Khan Sir of orchestrating the incident, further intensifying the existing controversy surrounding the coaching centre. The situation remains fluid as authorities continue to examine the claims and evidence related to the case.
