He mentioned that he also communicated Karnataka’s concerns to former Chief Ministers Basavaraj Bommai and Jagadish Shettar. “They too raised Karnataka’s concerns before the Centre. I thank them for their support,” Shivakumar noted, illustrating a collaborative effort to advocate for the state’s needs.

The Chief Minister further highlighted a meeting with Members of Parliament in New Delhi, where a collective commitment was made across party lines to safeguard Karnataka’s interests. He acknowledged this bipartisan support, stating, “At the meeting of Members of Parliament held in New Delhi, all MPs, irrespective of party affiliation, assured that they would stand united for Karnataka’s interests.” This unity among legislators emphasizes the importance of the matter, transcending political boundaries.
