Haryana Shocker: Drug Addict Son Kills Mother With Axe, After She Denies to Give ₹20

A very shocking incident has come to light from Haryana’s Gurugram. A 65-year-old woman named Razia was brutally murdered by her youngest son, Jamshed. The incident occurred in Jai Singhpur village near Dengli road in Nuh district, Haryana. The tragic incident took place late Saturday night.

According to reports, the reason behind the Murder is that Razia refused to give her son Rs 20. The police reported that Jamshed, aged 22 and a long-time drug addict. Jamshed became enraged when his mother said she only had a Rs 500 note. However, Razia promised to give him the money the following morning.

Violent Assault Escalates to Fatal Axe Attack

According to police, the conflict escalated around 1 a.m. when Jamshed returned home demanding money. Upon refusal, he allegedly tried to steal the cash while Razia was asleep. When she woke up and resisted, he attacked her with a brick, causing her to fall and scream.

Hearing the commotion, Jamshed’s sister-in-law intervened but was also assaulted and fled to alert neighbors. By the time villagers arrived, Jamshed had hacked his mother’s head with an axe, killing her instantly. After the attack, he reportedly covered himself with a blanket and lay beside her body.

Neighbours account the Horror

A neighbour told police that “Jamshed came home on the night of July 19 and asked Razia for Rs 20. When she told him she would give him the money the next morning since she only had Rs 500 and did not have change, he became enraged. In a fit of anger, he attacked her with a brick first, injuring her. Jamshed then picked up an axe and fatally slashed her throat. Razia died on the spot.” “He was doing drugs day and night. He always used to fight with his family for money,” the neighbour said.

Arrest and Investigation Underway

Police teams from Jai Singhpur police outpost and Nuh Sadar police station promptly arrived, arrested Jamshed, and recovered the blood-stained axe. Razia’s body was sent for a post-mortem at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Nuh.

A murder case has been registered following a complaint by Razia’s elder son, and police are actively investigating the circumstances, including recording statements from family members. “We are investigating the matter. The statements of the family have been recorded,” a police officer said.

Family’s Struggles and Addiction Issues

According to reports, neighbors and relatives revealed Jamshed’s history of drug abuse, involving marijuana and opium. His addiction caused frequent tensions and disputes over money within the family. The family, originally from Assam, has been living in a makeshift camp in Nuh for the past 20 years. They earned a livelihood through scrap collection.

Razia’s husband, Mubarak, passed away four months ago. Police confirmed the accused had a history of violent behavior and drug addiction, factors contributing to the tragic incident.
