Police have uncovered key details in the murder case of a man named Sohaib, whose body was found in Gurugram. The investigation revealed that Sohaib and the main accused, Zeeshan, were close friends and had previously worked together in Dubai.

During their time abroad, Zeeshan reportedly saw private photographs of his sister on Sohaib’s mobile phone, which led him to suspect that the two were in a relationship. This discovery is believed to have triggered Zeeshan’s intention to kill Sohaib. He allegedly started planning the murder while still in Dubai, but could not execute it at the time.

Return to India and Execution of Murder Plan

Approximately one and a half years after the incident in Dubai, both men returned to India. During this period, Zeeshan’s suspicions persisted. Sohaib reportedly expressed his willingness to marry Zeeshan’s sister after returning, but Zeeshan refused the proposal. Upon confronting his sister about the alleged relationship, she denied any involvement with Sohaib.

In January, Zeeshan went to his native village in Uttar Pradesh and visited Sohaib’s family there. He lured Sohaib to Gurugram on the pretext of offering him a job opportunity. After Sohaib arrived, Zeeshan offered him alcohol. Once Sohaib was inebriated, Zeeshan strangled him with an electric wire. He then wrapped the body in a blanket and disposed of it in a drainage canal.

Police Investigation and Arrests

Police officials from Gurugram, including PSI Amit from Anand Garden police post, stated that three individuals have been arrested in connection with the murder. During questioning, discrepancies in Zeeshan’s statements raised suspicion, leading to his arrest. Investigators said that although he attempted to destroy evidence, several mistakes led to his identification as the primary suspect.

Further investigation is underway, and all three accused are currently being interrogated.

Murder Motivated by Suspicion of Relationship

Investigators confirmed that the motive behind the murder stemmed from Zeeshan’s anger over the suspected relationship between his sister and Sohaib. Despite lacking confirmation from his sister, Zeeshan allegedly acted on his assumptions and carried out the killing. The police continue to verify the sequence of events leading up to the incident and are collecting additional evidence to support the charges.
