Gunfire and Drug Use Reported at Hyderabad Farmhouse Party; Five Test Positive

The CSR Journal Magazine

In a late-night operation on Saturday, authorities raided a farmhouse near Hyderabad, resulting in five individuals, including former BRS MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy, testing positive for drug usage. The raid, executed by the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) in collaboration with local police, was prompted by intelligence indicating a drug party was taking place at the VMR farmhouse in Moinabad, owned by Reddy. Chevella Deputy Commissioner of Police, Yogesh Gautam, confirmed that the team arrived at the location after receiving credible information regarding the consumption of narcotics during the gathering.

Incident Involving Gunfire During Police Arrival

Upon arrival, police found a total of ten people, including a woman, present at the farmhouse. Attendees at the event included politicians and business professionals from the real estate sector. Notably, as police approached, one attendee, identified as Namith Mishra, a businessman from Delhi, discharged a firearm into the air. Reports indicate the gun was licensed and belonged to another participant named Ritesh Reddy. Authorities recovered the weapon, along with one live round and an empty shell, and are currently investigating the shooting incident.

Drug Tests Conducted; Five Individuals Found Positive

Authorities conducted drug tests on the attendees of the party. Results showed that five individuals, including Rohith Reddy, Namith Mishra, Ritesh Reddy, Kaushik Ravi, and Arjun Reddy, tested positive for drug use. Their blood samples have been sent to a medical facility for further analysis. Despite the positive tests, the individuals claimed they had not consumed drugs at the farmhouse and suggested they had used narcotics at a different location prior to the gathering.

Discovery of Suspected Narcotics During the Raid

In addition to the drug tests, police also retrieved approximately two grams of a white powder believed to be narcotics during the raid. The precise nature of this substance will be determined following laboratory testing. The police stated that the party was organized by Rohith Reddy, who described it as a weekend networking event.

Ongoing Investigations and Future Operations

Authorities are continuing their investigations into the circumstances surrounding the party and the gunfire incident. They have implemented cordon-and-search operations at several farmhouses in the area as part of a larger crackdown on drug-related activities. Intelligence teams are actively engaged in the ongoing probe to ensure the effective enforcement of drug laws in the region.
