The Gujarat Urban Development Mission has officially unveiled the eNagar Portal, a comprehensive digital interface designed to streamline access to various municipal services for citizens. This initiative, announced by the Chief Minister’s Office, aims to enhance transparency and responsiveness in local governance.

The eNagar Portal provides a wide array of services, including registrations, tax payments, licensing, booking of halls, and connections for water and drainage, along with permissions for building. The platform allows users to access services around the clock, facilitating digital payments through multiple options like credit and debit cards, UPI, and net banking. Citizens can also conveniently download relevant certificates and receipts directly from the portal.

Transaction and Revenue Milestones Achieved

During the financial year 2025-26, the eNagar Portal successfully completed over 1.8 million transactions, resulting in a revenue generation of ₹1,031 crore. This marks a notable increase from the previous fiscal year, which recorded 2.6 million transactions yielding ₹1,522 crore. Since its inception, the platform has facilitated over 12.4 million transactions and generated cumulative revenue of approximately ₹6,076 crore.

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, this initiative aligns with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision for a Digital India, focusing on making government services more accessible and user-friendly through technology. This integration aims to enhance civic engagement by tapping into digital innovations.

Innovative Technologies Integrated into the Platform

To further assist users, the eNagar Portal incorporates advanced technologies such as an AI chatbot, designed to facilitate easy access to information and services. Additionally, it features a Bhashini-enabled interface, supporting communication in 23 languages, thereby catering to the diverse linguistic demographics of Gujarat.

This new portal seeks to minimise paperwork and long wait times associated with traditional municipal services, enhancing the speed and transparency of public service delivery across the state. Through the platform, citizens can efficiently manage fees, taxes, and registrations, consolidating various civic services into a single-window system.

Officials have noted that the success of the eNagar Portal reflects an increasing trend towards digital governance in the region, highlighting the time-saving benefits and improved access to municipal services for residents throughout Gujarat.
