Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has announced a ₹28 crore allocation for road and infrastructure development in constituencies represented by women legislators. The initiative was described as a special Raksha Bandhan gift and was announced through an official statement on Thursday.

14 Women Legislators to Receive ₹2 Crore Each

The funding will be distributed among 14 women members of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, with each legislator receiving ₹2 crore.

The beneficiaries include nine MLAs from urban constituencies and five from rural constituencies.

The grants will support infrastructure projects based on the most pressing requirements identified by the women legislators in their respective constituencies.
