A man in Ghaziabad’s Loni area has filed a police complaint against his wife, accusing her of attacking him with a knife after he objected to her creating obscene Instagram reels. The man, identified as Anis (38), submitted video evidence to support his claims. The footage, which he says clearly shows his wife Ishrat wielding a knife, has been handed over to police.

Anis alleged that his wife had been making sexually explicit content and regularly threatened him when he tried to intervene. According to him, Ishrat’s obsession with social media intensified in 2024, causing a major rift in their 15-year-old marriage.

“Now I have been thrown out of my own house. My wife and her family are constantly threatening to kill me and trap me and my family in fake cases,” he alleged. “She not only threatened to implicate me in false cases but even attacked me with a knife once,” Anis said.

Family Issues and Ongoing Threats

Anis claimed that Ishrat neglects household duties, spends most of her time online, and maintains inappropriate relationships with other men. He alleged that she frequently turned aggressive whenever he questioned her behaviour, threatened to take her own life, and even warned of falsely implicating him and his family in legal cases.

The couple has two children, a nine-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son. Anis shared that their family life started falling apart when Ishrat began making reels with other men and engaging in private video calls. He claimed that in one instance, she was caught on a call with a man who later visited their home. After being confronted, Ishrat allegedly hid her phone and became violent.

Police Register FIR After Video Evidence

ACP Siddharth Gautam of Loni confirmed that an FIR was lodged at Loni Police Station on August 28, 2025, following Anis’s complaint. He stated that the video footage submitted indeed shows the wife attacking Anis with a knife and issuing threats. Police have assured a thorough investigation into the matter and said that legal action will be taken based on the findings.

ACP Loni, Siddharth Gautam, confirmed that a case had been registered. “On August 28, 2025, an FIR was lodged at Loni Police Station based on the complaint filed by Anis. The video evidence clearly shows the wife attacking him with a knife and issuing threats. All aspects of the case are being investigated thoroughly, and legal action will follow soon,” the ACP said.

Anis also mentioned that he had previously been jailed following complaints made by his wife. He now claims to have been thrown out of his own house and continues to receive threats from Ishrat and her family.

Police are currently investigating all angles of the case, including the possibility of false accusations and ongoing domestic abuse.
