Drunk Man Beats 4-Year-Old Son to Death After Fight With Wife In UP’s Bhadohi

A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi district, where a domestic argument allegedly escalated into a fatal act of violence against a four-year-old child. Police said a man, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, has been accused of killing his young son following a quarrel with his wife.

Incident in Suriyawan Area

The incident occurred late Saturday night in Guwali village, located in the Suriyawan area of Bhadohi district. According to police officials, the accused, identified as Ramji Vanvasi, returned home around midnight in a heavily intoxicated condition. Shortly after his arrival, he allegedly got into an argument with his wife over a domestic issue, which soon escalated.

Child Suffers Fatal Injuries

During the altercation, the accused allegedly picked up his four-year-old son, Vikas, who was asleep at the time, and assaulted him. The sudden incident left other family members in shock. After the accused reportedly fled the scene, relatives rushed to help the child and attempted to provide first aid. However, police said the child had already succumbed to his injuries by the time assistance could be given.

Complaint Lodged by Grandmother

On Sunday afternoon, the victim’s grandmother, Prabhawati Devi, approached the police and lodged a formal complaint narrating the events of the night. Based on her complaint, the police registered a case of murder against the accused and launched a search operation.

Accused Arrested, Probe Ongoing

Police officials confirmed that Ramji Vanvasi was arrested later on Sunday. Station House Officer Mohammad Shakeel Khan stated that the child’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Statements of family members and others connected to the case are being recorded to establish the full sequence of events.

Police Assure Strict Action

Senior police officials said the investigation is underway and assured that strict legal action will be taken in accordance with the law. They added that incidents of domestic violence, particularly those involving children, are treated with utmost seriousness and sensitivity by the authorities.
