“Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge” is all set to hit the box office on March 19. With over a week left until release, it has already created buzz. On March 18, the movie will be preview screened in selected theatres across India. Considering the high demand for the movie, the ticket prices of the March 18 preview show are high, and they are selling out quickly.
Record high ticket price
Compared to a regular show, the ticket price for the paid preview shows scheduled for March 18 is very high. In many theatres in metro cities are screening the preview shows as early as 4-5 pm and there are multiple shows are lined up. Prices at different multiplexes range from Rs 600 to Rs 900. In some cities, IMAX screenings are as high as Rs 1000, and prices for recliner seats are even higher. So far, the most expensive ticket sold is of Rs 3100 at INOX Megaplex in Borivali, Mumbai.
At the PVR Select City Walk in Delhi, recliner seat tickets are being sold for Rs 2400. Even though the preview show price is high, tickets are selling fast and are almost sold out.
What is the average ticket price?
Normally for the Hindi version with Dolby Cinema format sell for an average price of Rs 418, but for “Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge,” this has climbed to Rs 759, which is almost double the cost of a regular screening.
The dubbed versions in Telugu and Tamil are also higher-than-usual prices, currently the tickets for Kannada dubbed show is Rs 445 and for Telugu show Rs 230. However, the Tamil version has been kept affordable as there is a ticket price cap, so the average cost will be Rs 166.
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge advance booking
Not only are the preview shows are almost sold out, but also the advance booking has also crossed Rs 15 crore in domestic market. With over a week left until the official release, shows are still getting booked, which shows the curiosity among fans. It is expected that it can cross the record set by “Dhurandhar” itself of Rs 25 crore from premier show.
