After Gurugram and Chandigarh, many schools in Delhi received bomb threats. In the list of schools that received threats are Amity International School, Birla Vidya Niketan, and Sardar Patel School, among others. After the security agencies were informed, precautionary checks were launched. However, nothing suspicious has been discovered. In a notification issued by one of the schools, parents were informed about the threat email and ongoing security measures being taken.
What precautions are being taken in Delhi schools
Immediately after receiving the message of the bomb threat, the bomb disposal squad reached schools and started inspection of the complete campus building. After hours of thorough checking, campuses were declared safe. On the other hand, schools informed the parents and also assured them that children’s safety is the school’s priority and complete measures are being taken. However, school management confirmed that classes will continue as usual.
Investigation has started in the matter and the Delhi Police and cyber agencies are currently investigating the source of the threat. There was a reference of political leaders and extremists in the threat email. While the cyber experts have been trying to find out the origin of the email threat, Google informed them that the source of the email doesn’t fall in their jurisdiction.

Similar bomb scare in Gurugram and Chandigarh
Many schools in Gurugram and Chandigarh had received similar threat messages yesterday. 26 schools in Chandigarh received a bomb threat through email, this led to schools sending back students to their respective homes and campus was vacated immediately as a preventive measure. Even yesterday after thorough investigation, nothing was found in the schools.
Many government schools in many sectors of Gurugram such as sectors 25, 19, 45, 16 too received threat emails. Immediately staff and students evacuated the school and the security team stepped in.
After such false threats, police have released an official circular to not believe rumours or unverified information on social media, this can create panic and fear. “The safety and security of students, staff, and the general public remains the top priority of Chandigarh police. All necessary precautionary measures are in place, and strict vigilance is being maintained, including during night hours,” said the police in an official statement.
