Delhi Man Arrested for Alleged Murder of Wife and Three Daughters

The police in New Delhi have apprehended a man in connection with the alleged murder of his wife and three daughters, all of whom were found dead in their residence located in the Chandan Park area of Samaypur Badli.

The accused, identified as Munchun Kewat, had reportedly been evading arrest since the bodies were discovered on Wednesday. The victims were found with throat injuries, leading investigators to suspect foul play immediately.

Discovery of the Bodies

According to authorities, a distress call was made to the police around 8 PM on Wednesday regarding a dead body in a house in Chandan Park. Upon arrival, officers identified the deceased as Anita, the wife of the accused, along with her three young daughters.

The police confirmed that the manner of death suggested that they had been murdered, as their throats were slit. The investigation revealed that the accused had fled the scene early in the morning prior to the discovery of the bodies.

Police Investigation and Arrest

Delhi’s police department launched a comprehensive search operation, deploying 15 specialized teams to locate Munchun Kewat. DCP of Outer North District, Hareshwar V Swami, stated that investigators had classified Kewat as the primary suspect in the case as he had absconded immediately following the incident. The authorities collected evidence from the crime scene and engaged a forensic science laboratory team for further analysis.

Family Reaction

A relative of the victims, identified as Rubi, expressed shock upon witnessing the tragedy. She stated, “I saw that all of them were lying dead and their throats were slit. I don’t know who murdered them.” The family’s loss has shaken the local community, prompting questions about the circumstances surrounding the brutal crime.

Legal Proceedings

In light of the findings, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law to facilitate further investigation. Authorities are focused on gathering additional evidence and testimonies that may shed light on the events leading to this tragic incident. The community remains in a state of disbelief as the investigation unfolds.
