Cyberabad Police convened a meeting on Wednesday to evaluate the integration of Artificial Intelligence-based predictive traffic management systems, designed to meet European standards. The session took place at the SCSC Meeting Hall, within the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.
The meeting was led by Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh. He urged officials to consider the feasibility of implementing intelligent traffic technologies aimed at improving congestion management, increasing enforcement efficiency, and enhancing road safety within the Commissionerate.
During the meeting, Lucas Ambul, the CEO of the Swiss firm Transcality based in Zurich, showcased AI-driven predictive traffic solutions. These technologies are designed to analyze traffic patterns, anticipate congestion, and optimize traffic signal control, thereby facilitating improved traffic flow.
Proposed model can forecast real-time traffic conditions
The proposed model has the capability to forecast and simulate real-time traffic conditions, which is particularly relevant given the anticipated infrastructure developments in the city. This innovation is expected to assist in long-term traffic management strategies.
Attendees included Deputy Commissioner of Police (Admin) T. Annapurna, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) I. Ranjan Ratan Kumar, and Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Madhapur Hanumantha Rao, as well as SCSC CEO Naved and several senior officers from the Cyberabad Police. Additionally, staff members from the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) participated in the discussions.
