The CSR Journal Magazine

Chandigarh, India: In response to the catastrophic floods ravaging Punjab, Narayan Seva Sansthan has swiftly mobilized a comprehensive relief campaign to aid impacted families. Under the leadership of President Prashant Agarwal and Director Vandana Agarwal, the organization has deployed resources to provide immediate support to those displaced and in distress.

Director of the Narayan Seva Sansthan, Palak Agarwal, informed that a truck filled with relief materials was flagged off from the Sansthan’s Kaithal service center by Daya Gupta. An eight-member team, headed by Dr. Vivek Garg, traveled to hard-hit border villages near Amritsar along the Pakistan border, including Ajnala, Malakpur, Kot Razada, Sufian, and Aliwal Kotli to deliver aid directly to affected communities.

The relief materials included 1,000 packets of bread, 1,200 bottles of Bisleri water, 2 quintals of chickpeas, 1,000 packets of powdered milk, 1,050 namkeen packets, 1,000 sweet biscuits, and 1,000 salty biscuits. In addition, hundreds of tarpaulins, medicines for seasonal illnesses for more than 2,000 people, antiseptic creams, sanitary pads, and other food items were distributed.

In addition, the team distributed hundreds of tarpaulins for temporary shelter, medications for seasonal illnesses sufficient for over 2,000 individuals, antiseptic creams, sanitary pads, and other supplementary food items.

Beyond material distribution, the team conducted on-site assessments in the flood-stricken areas, engaging directly with residents—including children, women, and the elderly—to identify ongoing challenges. A key emphasis was placed on healthcare, with targeted distribution of medicines to prevent the spread of waterborne and seasonal diseases amid the crisis.

The local communities expressed profound gratitude for Narayan Seva Sansthan’s timely intervention, which brought much-needed hope and relief to weary faces. This initiative exemplifies the organization’s core belief that service to humanity is the ultimate expression of faith and compassion. By standing in solidarity during these trying times, Narayan Seva Sansthan continues to inspire society, reinforcing the power of collective action and empathy in overcoming adversity.
