OPPO F35 Pro 5G Launches with 8,000mAh Battery and Enhanced Camera

The CSR Journal Magazine

The OPPO F35 Pro presents a striking design that captures attention with its sleek front and modern aesthetics. The phone features thin bezels, flat sides, and a large display, which contribute to a sophisticated appearance that rivals more expensive models. However, the rear design may not appeal to all users, as it features a camera plateau that some find less appealing compared to the front’s elegance.

Weighing approximately 210g and measuring 8.4mm in thickness, the F35 Pro is noticeable but remains comfortable to handle. Its durability is a standout feature, boasting IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. The AGC DT-Star D+ protective glass on the display adds an extra layer of security, making it suitable for everyday use without a case. Testing revealed no scratches or significant damage after several days of casual handling.

Display Quality and Performance

The OPPO F35 Pro is equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 2772 × 1272 pixels. It features an adaptive refresh rate of up to 144Hz and supports 10-bit colour, resulting in vibrant visuals and excellent contrast. While the display excels indoors, some users may find it challenging to read under direct sunlight, despite OPPO’s claims of a typical brightness of 800 nits and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits.

In terms of performance, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This configuration provides a smooth experience for everyday tasks, with quick app launches and efficient multitasking. However, the limitations become apparent when engaging in demanding games, where performance may not meet expectations. While games like Call of Duty: Mobile run smoothly, more resource-intensive titles may not perform as well.

The software experience is enhanced by ColorOS 16.5, which offers a fluid interface with quick navigation and app launches. Although some preinstalled applications may require removal, the overall user experience remains positive and manageable for those familiar with smartphone setups.

Camera Capabilities and Battery Life

The camera system of the OPPO F35 Pro includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The front-facing camera also features a 50MP sensor with a 100-degree field of view, making it ideal for group selfies. The camera performance is commendable, producing natural-looking images with consistent colour tones across different lenses.

Video recording capabilities allow for 4K footage at 30 frames per second, although the quality may vary under different lighting conditions. While the main camera captures satisfactory detail in low light, improvements could be made in colour accuracy during night mode. Overall, the camera system is effective for casual photography but may not satisfy those seeking professional-grade results.

Battery life is one of the OPPO F35 Pro’s strongest attributes, featuring an 8,000mAh battery that supports 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Users can expect more than a day of usage on a full charge, even with regular gaming. Charging times are efficient, with the device reaching full capacity in approximately 66 minutes from a low battery level, making it a reliable choice for daily use.
