Amit Shah, the Union Home and Cooperation Minister, is set to inaugurate a Fermented Product Dairy Plant located at the Bhopal Cooperative Milk Union on October 3. This event is part of a broader initiative aimed at enhancing milk processing and increasing the production of value-added dairy products in Madhya Pradesh. The official announcement outlines that the establishment of this plant represents a significant investment of Rs 16.80 crore, which includes Rs 6 crore funded by the Government of India and Rs 10.80 crore contributed by the Bhopal Cooperative Milk Union.

Operational Capacity and Production

The newly constructed dairy plant boasts an impressive processing capacity of 40,000 litres of milk daily, ensuring a robust output of various dairy products. According to the project specifications, the facility will be able to process 10,000 litres each of milk and curd, as well as 30,000 litres of buttermilk on a daily basis. Complementing this production will be the capability to generate 1,000 litres of lassi, 800 kg of shrikhand, and 1,000 kg of mawa every day.

This modern facility is designed to streamline the production of different value-added dairy products by employing state-of-the-art machinery and technology. The initiative responds to the growing demand for diverse milk-based products, thereby aligning production with contemporary market needs.

The introduction of this plant is expected to significantly augment the existing dairy processing framework of the Bhopal Cooperative Milk Union, thereby facilitating the production of an expanded variety of products under the Sanchi brand. This development reflects a commitment towards integrating modern processing techniques within the cooperative dairy sector.
