Young Genius Rishi Shiv Prasanna Achieves Remarkable IQ of 180

The CSR Journal Magazine

At just 12 years old, Rishi Shiv Prasanna has attained an IQ score of 180, surpassing the estimated IQ of Albert Einstein, which stands at 160. He is among the youngest individuals to be inducted into Mensa International, an exclusive society that recognises individuals in the top 2 per cent of the population based on standard intelligence tests. Rishi’s accomplishments extend beyond intelligence; he is a certified Google Android developer and has authored eight books. Additionally, he was honoured with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, recognising his outstanding contributions at such a young age.

Rishi’s ambitions extend beyond technology and literature. During the India Today Conclave held in Mumbai in 2026, he participated in a session titled ‘Einstein 2.0? – Meet The Young Genius Who Thinks Beyond His Years.’ In this forum, he articulated his perspectives on artificial intelligence, the significance of curiosity, and his aspiration for environmental improvements.

Curiosity Fuels Rishi’s Pursuits

Rishi attributes much of his success to an insatiable curiosity that characterised his childhood. He fondly recalls constantly asking questions, even when answers were provided. “Even if someone answered that question, I would always have two or three follow-up questions,” he explained. This relentless pursuit of knowledge has paved the way for his app development and literary creations. His debut book, “Learn Vitamins with Harry Potter,” emerged from a school writing competition during his first year, showcasing his intent to combine storytelling with education.

His latest literary venture, the “Titanium Time Travelers” series, delves into the themes of time travel and historical periods. Despite a busy schedule filled with writing, developing applications, and academic commitments, Rishi understands the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle, including participation in sports and social activities. He values school not only as a centre of learning but also as a place for social interaction and collaboration with peers.

Rishi’s Views on Artificial Intelligence

When questioned about the potential impacts of artificial intelligence on society, Rishi expressed scepticism about AI independently disrupting the world. He acknowledged that individuals with negative intentions could programme AI for harmful purposes but emphasised its potential to benefit various sectors. “AI could replace some jobs while aiding others, particularly in education and healthcare,” he noted, highlighting opportunities for personalised programmes and improved diagnostics.

Rishi shared practical advice for children who extensively use technology, suggesting that the focus should be on the purpose behind their usage. He advocated for a balanced approach, recognising that both educational and entertainment facets have their place in a child’s development.

Aspirations for Environmental Innovation

Rishi harbours a desire to create a device capable of purifying air pollutants emitted from vehicles, conceptually designed to be installed near a car’s exhaust. While he has outlined a prototype on paper, he acknowledges that further progress is needed to realise this invention. He also expressed a curious inclination to discuss the potential for scientific intervention in reducing negative human traits such as greed and selfishness, stating, “Because that would make the world a better place.”

In his perspective, intelligence encompasses various skills and capabilities beyond traditional academic success. He recognises diverse talents among his peers, from chess and dance to emotional intelligence, stating, “There’s not only one type of intelligence.” Rishi firmly believes in allowing children the freedom to explore their interests and passions. When asked about his aspirations for the next five to six years, he simply expressed a desire to remain true to himself while accumulating innovations and ideas along the way.
