The upcoming wildlife photography exhibition will be held from September 26 to 29, 2026, at the Bombay Art Society located in Bandra Reclamation, Mumbai 400050. This event marks the culmination of the second edition of the Accord Equips Wildlife Photography Contest, showcasing fifty photographs selected from approximately 600 entries. The exhibition provides a platform for photographers at various stages of their careers to present their unique interpretations of wildlife and nature through the medium of photography.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for the afternoon of September 26, running from 2 pm to 6 pm, where thirteen winners will be honoured. The total value of the awards exceeds Rs. 2 lakhs, distributed across different categories to recognise exceptional talent in wildlife photography.

Tejash Shah from Accord Equips commented on the initiative, highlighting the impressive number of entries this year. Shah mentioned that the exhibition has been enhanced from the previous edition by featuring the top fifty photographs, which were carefully curated by a panel of judges. Alongside the awards, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions and participate in a Canon camera gear service camp.

Panel Discussions and Engagement Activities

The event will feature panel discussions on September 26 and 27, providing insights from expert photographers and practitioners in the field. Each session will last for approximately one hour and will delve into various aspects of wildlife photography. These discussions aim to facilitate dialogue around the themes of conservation, observation, and the relationship between photography and the natural world.

Apurv Isaac (Lala), known for his wildlife photography and conservation efforts, remarked on the value of bringing together photographers and specialists to discuss the impact of their work on wildlife conservation. Drawing on his experiences, Isaac aims to inspire participants during these discussions to consider the broader implications of their craft.

Exhibition Accessibility and Future Plans

The exhibition will be open to the public daily from September 26 to 29, between the hours of 11 am and 7 pm. Additionally, on September 26, there will be a Canon Camera Gear Service Camp designed to assist photographers with their equipment and provide technical support. This initiative allows budding photographers and seasoned professionals to ensure their gear is in optimal condition while gaining insights from experts in the field.

With the positive response generated from this year’s contest, Accord Equips plans to establish the initiative as an annual platform for wildlife photography. The third edition of the contest is slated to take place from April 15 to June 30, 2027, as stated by Tejash Shah. This continuation highlights the organisation’s commitment to elevating the profile of wildlife photography in India.
