Wife Allegedly Kills Husband with Lover’s Assistance, Disposes of Body in Telangana

The CSR Journal Magazine

A shocking murder case has emerged from Gangapur, Telangana, where 42-year-old Muthyam Reddy was reportedly killed by his wife, Kalpana, along with her lover, Gaini Pandari. Reddy and Kalpana had been married for 12 years and had two children together. Tensions escalated three months ago when Kalpana allegedly began an extramarital affair with Pandari, a resident of the nearby Elgoyi village. This affair reportedly led to frequent disputes between the couple, particularly after Reddy discovered the relationship.

As the couple’s conflicts intensified, Kalpana and Pandari allegedly plotted to murder Reddy. According to police reports, they believed Reddy to be an obstacle to their relationship and saw no other way to proceed with their plans. It is alleged that they killed him before disposing of his body in an agricultural field.

The accused allegedly used a JCB machine to dig a pit in a secluded area on the outskirts of the village, where they buried Reddy’s body. To conceal their crime and eliminate any evidence, they reportedly covered the burial site with soil and stones, attempting to make it appear untouched. The details surrounding the murder have left investigators and the community unsettled.

Investigation and Initial Findings

On May 18, 2026, in an attempt to deflect suspicion away from herself, Kalpana lodged a missing person report at the Khed Police Station, claiming her husband had gone missing without a trace. However, as the investigation unfolded, Kalpana’s behaviour raised suspicions among the police. Their inquiries led them to examine her call data records, which revealed a concerning frequency of communication between her and Pandari.

Upon identifying this connection, the police detained Pandari for questioning. Following intense interrogation, the senior officer, Venkata Reddy, reported that Pandari admitted to his involvement in the murder. This confession was pivotal, leading authorities to take further action against both accused individuals.

With the confession from Pandari, police officials, alongside local administrative authorities, began legal procedures aimed at addressing the crime appropriately. The officials returned to focus on the exhumation of Muthyam Reddy’s body in order to conduct a postmortem examination. Such an examination will be crucial in providing further clarity regarding the circumstances of Reddy’s death and any injuries sustained prior to the alleged murder.

Continuing Investigations and Legal Proceedings

As the investigation progresses, authorities have indicated that efforts are underway to identify any additional accomplices that may have assisted Kalpana and Pandari in their alleged plan. The complexities surrounding the case reveal a web of relationships and motivations that investigators are keen to unravel fully. Officials remain committed to ensuring justice for Muthyam Reddy and his family.

The developments in this case have created considerable attention within the community and beyond, highlighting the ongoing issues surrounding domestic disputes and extramarital affairs. Investigators are expected to continue their efforts diligently, providing updates as more information becomes available.

The police remain vigilant in uncovering all aspects of this case, ensuring that no additional parties are overlooked. The legal proceedings will adhere to the findings from the ongoing investigation, aimed at delivering accountability and justice for the involved parties.
