Uttar Pradesh is set to take a major step towards becoming a national leader in technology-enabled healthcare with the launch of the two-day UP AI and Health Innovation Conference, beginning Monday in Lucknow. The event underscores the Yogi Adityanath government’s vision of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into healthcare delivery to make services more accessible, efficient, and future-ready.

CM Yogi to Inaugurate High-Level Conference

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the conference, which will see participation from key political leaders and senior officials, including Union Minister of State Jitin Prasad, Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Brajesh Pathak, IT & Electronics Minister Sunil Kumar Sharma, and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh. Senior bureaucrats and policymakers from both state and central governments will also attend.

Global Experts, Policymakers, and Startups to Participate

The conference will bring together experts from India and abroad, including representatives from NITI Aayog, National Health Authority, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, World Health Organization, World Bank, Gates Foundation, and Google. Startups, innovators, and healthcare professionals will engage in discussions on leveraging AI to strengthen healthcare systems.

Focus on Policy, Digital Infrastructure

On the first day, discussions will revolve around the state’s vision for AI-led healthcare innovation. Sessions will explore global best practices, the role of AI in economic and social development, and the current status of AI adoption across Indian states. Special emphasis will be placed on Digital Public Infrastructure, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, data governance, and secure AI implementation.

Practical AI Applications Take Centre Stage

The second day will focus on real-world applications of AI in healthcare. Sessions will highlight AI-powered diagnostics in radiology, tuberculosis screening, pathology, cancer detection, and smart medical devices. Telemedicine, remote healthcare delivery in rural areas, and AI tools to empower doctors, nurses, ASHA, and Anganwadi workers will be key themes.

Innovation Zone to Showcase AI Solutions

An Innovation and Experience Zone will feature live demonstrations of AI-based health solutions, startup innovations, and pilot projects already implemented in Uttar Pradesh. The conference aims to position UP as a model state for AI-driven, people-centric, and affordable healthcare aligned with the vision of “Digital Uttar Pradesh” and a “Smart Health System.”
