The event took place around 11 PM when Prabhat, believed to have been under the influence of alcohol, returned to his home. Reports indicate that Paras, approximately 50 years old, reprimanded his son for his state. An argument ensued, escalating quickly. In a fit of rage, Prabhat allegedly retrieved an axe from within the home and struck Paras multiple times on the head, which resulted in fatal injuries.

Body Discovered in Water Tank

After the attack, it is alleged that Prabhat moved his father’s body to a small water tank situated beside the house. Following this gruesome act, he is said to have visited a nearby shop where he consumed biryani before returning home to sleep under a blanket. Law enforcement officials apprehended him later the same night.

Relative Comments on the Tragedy

Rakesh Pradhan, a relative of the deceased, provided details about the incident, describing how his brother-in-law was killed by his son in a shocking act of violence at night. He confirmed that the police took the younger son into custody shortly after the incident occurred.

The investigating officer from the local police station stated that the case involves a serious assault with a sharp weapon. The investigation continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the murder.
