CSR: SBI honours specially abled employees on International Day of persons with disabilities

Mumbai, India: With an objective to promote the rights and wellbeing of people with disabilities and honour their contribution as a part of the SBI Team, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) was celebrated at the State Bank Bhavan, Mumbai on Saturday, 3rd December, 2022.
A get-together and felicitation function of Divyangjan colleagues was organized on this occasion. The theme of this International Day of Persons with Disabilities (2022) was “Transformative solutions for inclusive development, the role of innovation in promoting an accessible and equitable world”. On this day bank observed a PAN India commemoration of IDPD in its 17 circles.
The event saw participation of more than 25 Divyangjan Staff from the Corporate Centre establishment at Mumbai who were welcomed and felicitated by CGM (HR), CGM (Contact Centre Operations), GM (M&C) and other senior dignitaries. In his welcome address, CGM (HR) paid rich tributes to the spirit of exceptional courage and grit shown by the Divyangjan Staff in overcoming their limitations and prevailing upon adversity.Mrs. Mamta Namdev Tambe, Deputy Manager was felicitated for her extraordinary contributions to the Bank as well as the Society.
The Divyangjan Staff were happy to participate in the event and shared their thoughts, experiences, and concerns.They thanked SBI for honouring and holding such a beautiful programme for them. The concerns of the staff were duly acknowledged and responded to by CGM (HR). It was a moment of joy for everyone to take pride in being part of the great SBI Team.
