Re-edited Baahubali Overtakes Interstellar, Becomes 5th Highest-Grossing Re-release in India

The CSR Journal Magazine

SS Rajamouli’s Bahubali: The Epic — a reimagined and seamlessly edited combination of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion — has created waves across the Indian box office all again. The re-edited version is 3.45 minutes long and has been able to catch hold of audiences’ attention like any of the parts.

Like the original film that broke all records worldwide, this time Bahubali: The Epic is creating its own success story. Just within a week of the release, the re-edited version has overtaken Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. Currently, Bahubali: The Epic is the 5th highest-grossing re-released film in India.

How much collection Bahubali: The Epic makes?

The premiere show opened with Rs 1.15 crore, the first day the film made a Rs 9.65 crore collection. There was a little dip on Saturday’s show with a collection of Rs 7.3 crore, however on Sunday it regained the momentum with Rs 6 crore, the total gross earning in a week is Rs 24.10 crore — surpassing Interstellar re-release, that made a collection of Rs 21.05 crore.

Other movies that the re-edited version surpassed are re-released Avatar (Rs 10 crore), Rockstar (Rs 11.50 crore), Laila Majnu (Rs 11.6 crore), Sholay 3D (Rs 13 crore), and Titanic 3D (Rs 18 crore).

ISRO names the heaviest rocket as Bahubali

On Monday, India achieved another milestone in its space journey, by successfully launching one of the heaviest communication satellites, CMS-03. While this was a proud moment for all Indians, it was a little more special for SS Rajamouli as the name of the rocket — whose cinematic creation inspired the very name of the rocket that powered the mission — is fondly called ‘Baahubali’, as it lifts with perfect precision, sign of strength and grandeur just like Prabhas-starrer Baahubali.

Immediately after the launch Rajamouli took to social media, “Congratulations to #ISRO on the successful launch of the heaviest communication satellite CMS-03 today! A proud moment for India showcasing our technological strength and self-reliance in space exploration. Onwards and upwards! Our entire Baahubali team is elated as @ISRO fondly named this rocket ‘Baahubali’… due to its heaviness and strength. Truly a privilege for all of us.”

What is called a perfect timing as the Baahubali: The Epic, a reimagined edition is successfully ruling theatres and broke many records.
