Rajasthan Government Directs Collectors to Evaluate Crop Damage from Heavy Rainfall

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma issued directives on Saturday for district collectors to promptly assess the damage to crops resulting from heavy rainfall across the state. The government has emphasized the urgency of submitting these assessment reports as quickly as possible to facilitate timely assistance to affected farmers.

Government’s Commitment to Farmers Highlighted

In a statement posted on X, CM Sharma declared the significance of the state’s agricultural sector, stating that the prosperity of Rajasthan relies heavily on its farmers. He reiterated the government’s dedication to supporting the farming community with strict attention and responsibility. “Immediate surveys are to be conducted by all District Collectors to evaluate the damage inflicted on our farmer brethren due to heavy rains in various regions of the state,” he said, underscoring the priority of providing adequate aid to those affected.

Infrastructure Development Announced During Rajasthan Diwas Celebrations

On a related note, during the recent celebrations of Rajasthan Diwas 2026, Chief Minister Sharma also inaugurated 207 new buses at the Ajmer Road Bus Terminal. He outlined the government’s ongoing efforts to realize a “Viksit Rajasthan” or developed Rajasthan. “I extend my greetings on the occasion of Rajasthan Foundation Day as well as the Hindu New Year… Our government is dedicated to the path of Viksit Rajasthan,” Sharma conveyed in his address to the media.

Enhanced Transportation Services for Residents

Sharma further elaborated on the significance of the newly launched buses. He indicated that these vehicles would play a crucial role in minimizing the distance between urban and rural areas while contributing to the state’s overall development trajectory. “The introduction of these buses will bolster, secure, and modernize the transportation system in the state,” he added, reinforcing the intention to aid local residents through enhanced connectivity.
