The CSR Journal Magazine

A 23-year-old man was reportedly killed in Pune following an altercation concerning his relationship with a minor girl. The deceased has been identified as Nagesh Sanjay Jadhav. Nagesh had developed a bond with the girl, often engaging in lengthy phone conversations, which reportedly upset the girl’s family.

The incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, March 14, when Nagesh received a phone call from the girl’s family, prompting him to travel to their residence on his motorcycle.

Events Leading to the Assault

Approximately 45 minutes after departing his home, Nagesh’s mother received a distressing call. The unidentified caller used abusive language and informed her that her son was being severely beaten. The individual also threatened that if Nagesh’s family did not arrive within ten minutes to retrieve him, they would dispose of him. Following this alarming message, Nagesh’s mother, along with several relatives, hurried to the location indicated by the caller.

Discovery of the Victim and Medical Response

Upon arrival at the scene, relatives discovered a large crowd gathered around the residence. They learned that Nagesh was being assaulted on the terrace. Once they reached the terrace, they found him lying severely injured on the ground, with his clothing torn and wooden sticks scattered around the area.

Immediate medical assistance was sought, and Nagesh was transported to a nearby hospital. However, due to the critical nature of his injuries, he was later referred to another medical facility, where he was pronounced dead.

Legal Actions and Ongoing Investigation

Subsequent to the incident, a police complaint was filed. In the course of their investigation, law enforcement apprehended six out of the seven individuals purportedly involved in the assault. The authorities are continuing their search for the seventh individual. The case has raised serious concerns regarding the safety of vulnerable individuals and the implications of familial disputes on the lives of young adults.
