The body of a 22-year-old pregnant woman, identified as Albina Garada, has been discovered in Andhra Pradesh after she had gone missing from Koraput district, Odisha, on July 29. Authorities suspect foul play, alleging that she was murdered and her remains transported across the state border for burial. Albina was a resident of Tunkhal village, located within the Dasmantpur police jurisdiction.

Law enforcement officials have arrested two individuals in connection with the case. The suspects are Mohan Khilla, aged 35, and 19-year-old Milan Kuldeep, who are accused of the crime. The police assert that the pair killed Albina and subsequently concealed her body in Andhra Pradesh.

Circumstances Surrounding Her Disappearance

According to police reports, Albina was last seen in the Semiliguda area on July 29. Mohan Khilla filed a missing persons report at the local police station on August 1, triggering an investigation into her disappearance. Initial inquiries revealed potential indicators of criminal activity, leading to the detention and questioning of Khilla and Kuldeep.

During their interrogation, the suspects allegedly provided vital information that guided the investigation toward the disposal of Albina’s body. Following these leads, a search operation was launched by Semiliguda police in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh authorities, focusing on Gajapathinagaram in Vizianagaram district.

The police recovered Albina’s partially decomposed body from a burial site near a tree in Marupalli village. Following standard legal procedures, the body was exhumed, and family members, including her father, reportedly identified her by the clothing found at the site. An official panchnama was conducted in the presence of an Executive Magistrate and various witnesses to document the recovery.

Evidence and Ongoing Investigation

As part of the ongoing investigation, police have seized a vehicle believed to have been used for transporting Albina’s body. Additionally, they discovered tools suspected to have been employed to dig her burial site. Forensic evidence, including mobile phones and clothing linked to the accused, has been collected for examination.

Reports suggest that Mohan Khilla had been previously married twice and was allegedly involved in a relationship with Albina. Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding her death, suspecting that it stemmed from a domestic dispute. It is believed that after her murder, her body was moved to Andhra Pradesh and buried with the assistance of Milan Kuldeep.

Both suspects have been presented before a court and have been remanded to judicial custody as the investigation continues. Authorities are diligently working to piece together the exact circumstances of Albina’s death, including the motive and the sequence of events that led to the alleged crime, as well as the transportation and burial of her body.
