Among the announced vacancies, there are 897 positions designated for Assistant Teachers attached to primary schools within the Secondary Education Department, and 11,508 positions for Assistant Teachers within the Basic Education Department, specifically for urban areas. Additionally, the recruitment drive includes 2,607 posts in the Lecturer cadre, commonly known as Post Graduate Teacher or PGT positions.

The recruitment for the Assistant Teacher posts is categorised under Advertisement No. 052026, with the application process set to commence on September 16, 2026. Candidates have until October 15, 2026, to pay the application fee, and they will also have a window until October 19, 2026, to make any necessary corrections in their submitted forms. The examination for these posts is slated for December 3 and 4, 2026.

For the PGT positions, the notification is classified under Advertisement No. 062026, which was also released on September 15. The application process for these 2,607 positions will open on September 18, 2026. The final date for fee payment for PGT posts is October 17, while corrections in applications can be made until October 21. The examination for the Lecturer cadre positions is scheduled for December 15 and 16, 2026.
