The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has clarified that there is no shortage of cow ghee for the preparation of the renowned Srivari Laddu prasadam. This statement follows a surge of rumors on social media claiming that laddu production had been impacted due to an incident involving a ghee tanker. The temple administration urged devotees to disregard what it called “false propaganda” and emphasized that there are sufficient stocks of ghee to ensure the continuous preparation and distribution of the prasadam.

Clarification on Tanker Accident

TTD acknowledged that a tanker owned by Indapur Dairy recently encountered an accident near Kondapur in the Kadapa district. However, the temple authority affirmed that this incident did not hinder the availability of ghee, as resources from the other two suppliers are still being delivered as planned. The procurement strategy employed by the temple involves sourcing ghee from three different companies, providing a robust safety net against any potential supply disruptions.

Stable Production of Srivari Laddu

Currently, nearly seven lakh Srivari Laddu prasadams are available for devotees, indicating that both production and supply chains are operating normally. The TTD also noted that with increasing pilgrim attendance expected during the summer months, preemptive measures have been put in place to guarantee uninterrupted laddu production. Regular upkeep of the machinery and conveyor belts at the preparation unit, often referred to as the Potu, is being conducted to ensure smooth operations amidst rising demand.

Response to Misleading Information

The TTD emphasized that any claims suggesting the temple has run out of ghee or that the preparation of the Srivari services and laddu has been interrupted are misleading. The authority cautioned that such misinformation could adversely affect the sentiments of devotees. It reassured the public that the processes for preparing and distributing the Srivari Laddu prasadam are proceeding without any disruptions.
