No Evidence Of Cheating Or Irregularities In JEE Advanced 2026, Says IIT Roorkee

The CSR Journal Magazine

IIT Roorkee has stated there is no evidence supporting claims regarding discrepancies in the JEE Advanced 2026 results. This announcement comes amidst widespread discussions and concerns raised across social media platforms about candidates’ marks, ranks, and differences in scores between the examination papers. The institute’s statement urged both students and parents to rely solely on official information and avoid engaging with unofficial data circulating online.

In its communication, IIT Roorkee characterised the viral lists claiming to detail candidates’ ranks and marks as inaccurate. The institute reassured the public that the information being shared lacks alignment with verified JEE Advanced records. IIT Roorkee highlighted that this misleading information should not be considered as trustworthy.

Clarification On Score Differences

The institute addressed concerns specifically regarding the alleged large variations between the scores obtained in Paper 1 and Paper 2. IIT Roorkee explained that fluctuations between performance in both papers are not uncommon. Notably, among the top 10,000 rank holders, only two candidates exhibited particularly significant gaps in their scores.

According to IIT Roorkee, the variation in performance across the two sections of the exam is a normal occurrence and has been consistently documented every year. The institute asserted that these differences should not be interpreted as indicators of any malpractice or unfair practices within the examination framework.

Following the rising concerns regarding potential discrepancies, IIT Roorkee conducted a thorough review of the examination records and associated data. This comprehensive review did not unveil any evidence of cheating, malpractice, or unauthorized assistance, thereby affirming the integrity of the examination process.

Security Of Examination Process Highlighted

IIT Roorkee reiterated its commitment to ensuring that the JEE Advanced 2026 examination process remains secure, transparent, and fair. The institute strongly encouraged students and parents to trust only official communications and disregard the unverified claims circulating on social media that may contribute to confusion.

Even as speculation continues to spread in online discussions, IIT Roorkee firmly stated that the viral lists of ranks and marks are fraudulent. The institution has confirmed that no irregularities or issues were found during the JEE Advanced 2026 examination process.
