IIT Roorkee highlighted that this misleading information should not be considered as trustworthy.

The institute addressed concerns specifically regarding the alleged large variations between the scores obtained in Paper 1 and Paper 2. IIT Roorkee explained that fluctuations between performance in both papers are not uncommon. Notably, among the top 10,000 rank holders, only two candidates exhibited particularly significant gaps in their scores.

According to IIT Roorkee, the variation in performance across the two sections of the exam is a normal occurrence and has been consistently documented every year.
