Maruti Suzuki Reports 2.36 Lakh Sales in September 2026

Maruti Suzuki India announced total sales of 2,36,013 units in September 2026, a substantial increase from the 1,89,665 units sold in September 2025. This rise indicates a robust performance within the automotive market, underscoring the company’s growth trajectory.

In terms of domestic sales, Maruti Suzuki recorded 1,91,794 units, which highlights a significant improvement compared to the previous year. The export figures also reflect an upward trend, with 44,219 units shipped abroad in the same month.

Passenger Vehicles and Utility Sales

The company reported that it sold 1,81,838 passenger vehicles in September 2026, a noticeable increase from 1,32,820 units during the same month in the previous year. The mini, compact, and mid-size segments contributed substantially, with sales reaching 91,887 units compared to 74,090 units in September 2025.

Moreover, utility vehicle sales surged to 78,911 units in September 2026, a significant rise from 48,695 units sold the previous year. This segment includes popular models such as the Brezza, Ertiga, and Grand Vitara. The Eeco model also saw a modest increase, with sales of 11,040 units compared to 10,035 units in September 2025.

In the context of light commercial vehicles, Maruti Suzuki’s Super Carry achieved sales of 3,414 units, up from 2,891 units during the same month in the previous year. This category has shown consistent growth, contributing positively to the overall sales figures.

Overall Performance: April to September

For the period of April to September in the financial year 2026-27, Maruti Suzuki recorded total sales of 13,79,378 units, a sharp increase when compared to 10,78,735 units in the same timeframe of FY2025-26. This substantial growth indicates a positive trend in the company’s sales performance.

The domestic passenger vehicle sales during this period amounted to 10,80,240 units, which is a significant increase from the 7,95,446 units sold during the corresponding period last year. The sales of utility vehicles also rose, reaching 4,55,692 units in the current fiscal year, up from 3,17,379 units during the previous year.

Exports from April to September totalled 2,32,855 units, compared to 2,07,459 units in the same period last year. The overall domestic sales, which include passenger vehicles, the Super Carry, and sales to other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), reached 11,46,523 units, up from 8,71,276 units during the corresponding period in the previous fiscal year.
