The annual Ladakh Festival for 2026 has commenced today, 26th September, with a significant expansion in its cultural offerings. Secretary of Tourism and Culture, Sanjit Rodrigues, announced the inclusion of selected cultural troupes from various regions of India. Inaugural Performance by the Shillong Chamber Choir

The festival will kick off with a performance by the Shillong Chamber Choir, a prominent troupe known for its exceptional musical talent. The 25-member choir has already arrived in Leh and is currently engaged in rehearsals in preparation for their performance set for 7 pm today. Expectations are high among both the local population and tourists eager to experience this live musical showcase.
