The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination, revealing an extraordinary coincidence among the qualified candidates. Twin brothers from Odisha, Mahroof and Masroor Ahmed Khan, both scored a remarkable 285 marks, distinguishing themselves in a highly competitive national engineering entrance examination. This anomalous academic accomplishment underscores the dedication and collaborative spirit that guided their preparation.

Journey of Preparation and Support

The Ahmed Khan brothers, hailing from Bhubaneswar, demonstrated a shared commitment towards their studies, spending years preparing together. Their journey included moving to Kota, known as India’s premier coaching destination for aspiring engineers. Studying in tandem became a cornerstone of their strategy, allowing them to tackle both triumphs and challenges collectively. Mahroof Ahmed Khan commented on their mutual support, stating, “Since the start, we have studied together, clearing doubts in unison. We motivated each other during tough times.” Mahroof further mentioned that their mother gave up her job to provide them with unwavering support throughout their preparations.

Aspirations Beyond JEE Advanced

Looking forward, Mahroof expressed his ambitions, stating his goal is to excel in the upcoming JEE Advanced examination and pursue a degree in computer science at IIT Bombay. Additionally, he aspires to become an IAS officer, showcasing a commitment to both academic and public service aspirations.

Challenges Faced During Preparation

While one of the brothers described their experience as largely positive, with support from teachers playing a critical role, the other acknowledged facing difficulties, particularly with low scores attributed to minor errors. They overcame these challenges through teacher discussions and a consistent focus on NCERT textbooks, which they credited for their eventual success. Their parents, mentors, and years of persistent effort were also acknowledged as pivotal in achieving their results.
