Playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan became visibly emotional during her live performance in Lucknow on March 7, pausing to address her audience regarding a serious throat issue. This concert was part of her ongoing I Am Home India Tour 2025-26.

The unexpected announcement came as a surprise midway through her performance, highlighting a rare moment in the current tour. Known for her powerful vocals and dynamic presence on stage, Chauhan shared her personal struggles, making the evening particularly memorable for her fans.

Audience’s Support Amidst Concerns

As she addressed the audience, Chauhan conveyed her feelings candidly, expressing her regret about the condition affecting her performance. She stated, “I have a terrible throat; aaj mere aawaz bohot zyada kharab hai. But I know you are with me, and I want to still do this.

Oh my god, this has never happened with me ever, and it’s embarrassing. I am so sorry. It’s just that, mujhe thoda… I always want to give 100%.” The crowd responded with empathy and encouragement, praising her honesty and determination to deliver, despite her vocal limitations during the show.

Commitment to Fans Despite Challenges

Chauhan acknowledged the impact her voice issues were having on her ability to perform, apologizing for any disappointment that might arise from her singing limitations. She reassured attendees that she was making an effort to continue the performance even while experiencing discomfort.

Tour Progress and Future Performances

The Lucknow concert is part of Chauhan’s extensive nationwide tour, which commenced in Mumbai on December 24, 2025. Following Mumbai, the tour made stops in several major cities, including Delhi on December 27, Bengaluru on January 17, Ahmedabad on January 31, and Chennai earlier this year. She is scheduled to conclude her tour with a performance in Kolkata on March 14 at the Aquatica Ground, marking its final destination.
