Ahead of the 2026 budget, the government received encouraging news as January’s net GST revenue rose by 7.6% to ₹1.70 lakh crore. From April to January, total net GST collections reached ₹15.96 lakh crore, marking a 6.8% increase over the same period last year—a positive sign for the economy as fiscal planning gains momentum.
