Goa CM Pramod Sawant Undergoes Successful Angioplasty in Pune, Remains Stable

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune on Thursday evening after experiencing chest pain. The admission occurred at approximately 6:15 PM, where medical staff quickly initiated a series of evaluations. Following an angiography, the medical team concluded that an angioplasty was necessary.

The angioplasty procedure was carried out successfully by a team of cardiologists and was completed around 10:15 PM. In an official communication, Dr. Purvez Grant, who is the Chief Cardiologist as well as the Chairman and Managing Trustee of the hospital, provided insights into the situation. He confirmed that the procedure unfolded without any complications.

Dr. Grant stated that Chief Minister Sawant was in stable condition following the procedure. He further mentioned, “Hon. Goa CM Pramod Sawant has successfully undergone an angioplasty procedure. The intervention was completed without complications, and his condition is currently stable. He is recovering well and remains under close observation.”

Medical professionals have recommended that Sawant remain hospitalized for an additional two days to ensure proper monitoring during his recovery period. Hospital authorities have confirmed that doctors will continue to oversee his health status closely.

Updates regarding the Chief Minister’s health are anticipated to be released by the hospital administration in the morning hours of the following day.
