Apple has announced the arrival of several new devices in India, set to launch on November 6. This includes the first-ever touchscreen MacBook Pro models and a new OLED iPad mini. Pre-orders for these products commenced on October 28, allowing customers to secure their preferred devices ahead of the official release.

The new iPad mini, iMac, and 14-inch MacBook Pro featuring the M6 chip will be available from November 6, while the two touchscreen MacBook Pro models are scheduled for release on November 9. This launch marks a significant update to Apple’s product lineup, catering to a diverse range of consumer needs.

Details of the New iPad Mini

The newly introduced iPad mini boasts one of the most substantial upgrades in recent years, with its standout feature being the larger 8.5-inch OLED display. This enhancement provides deeper blacks, more vibrant colours, and increased brightness, significantly improving the user experience.

Powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chip, the tablet is designed to handle demanding artificial intelligence tasks effectively. It includes a 12MP Centre Stage front camera, an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, and compatibility with Apple Intelligence. The iPad mini will be available in two colour options: Midnight and Starlight. In India, the starting price for the Wi-Fi model is Rs 82,900, while the cellular variant is priced at Rs 1,00,900.

Upgrades to the iMac and MacBook Pro

The latest iMac also features a significant upgrade, now equipped with the M6 chip. This enhancement provides a faster CPU and GPU, along with Neural Accelerators for improved AI processing capabilities. The iMac retains its 24-inch 4.5K Retina display and slim design while offering faster connectivity options through Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.

Consumers can select from seven vibrant colours, including blue, green, pink, yellow, purple, orange, and silver. The base model, which includes a 10-core CPU and GPU, is priced at Rs 1,74,900 in India, while a more advanced configuration starts at Rs 1,99,900.

Additionally, a new 14-inch MacBook Pro featuring the M6 chip has been introduced for users seeking a powerful laptop without a touchscreen. This model includes a 12-core CPU and GPU, promising enhanced graphics and AI performance. It features a Liquid Retina XDR display, a 12MP Centre Stage camera, and a six-speaker sound system, with a starting price of Rs 2,39,900 in India.

Touchscreen MacBook Pro Models

Among the most notable announcements is the introduction of the 14-inch MacBook Pro with a touchscreen, marking a first for Apple. This model features a tandem OLED panel, referred to as PROLED XDR, with a 120Hz refresh rate and support for touch gestures. It also incorporates Dynamic Island functionality on the Mac.

Powered by either the M5 Pro or M5 Max chips, this MacBook Pro offers up to 24 hours of battery life. The starting price for the 14-inch touchscreen model with the M5 Pro chip is Rs 3,49,900, with availability commencing on November 9.

Furthermore, a larger 16-inch touchscreen MacBook Pro is also being launched, featuring the same OLED display and chip options as its smaller counterpart. This model is designed for professionals who require additional screen space for tasks such as video editing and graphic design. The 16-inch version starts at Rs 4,09,900 and will also be available from November 9.
