Faridabad Horror: Father Arrested for Beating Four-Year-Old to Death Over Studies

The CSR Journal Magazine

A quiet afternoon meant for teaching a young child ended in unimaginable loss in Faridabad, where a four-year-old girl died after allegedly being assaulted by her father inside their rented home.

The man, identified by police as Krishna Jaiswal, 31, had been caring for the children while his wife was at work. Investigators said the child was being taught basic numbers when she struggled with the exercise. What should have been a routine learning moment allegedly spiralled into violence, leaving the girl with fatal injuries.

The incident occurred on January 21. According to police findings, Jaiswal had asked his daughter to write numbers from one to 50. When she could not do so, he allegedly lost his temper and attacked her.

The child’s mother, who works at a private firm, discovered something was wrong only after returning home that evening. On finding her daughter unresponsive, she immediately contacted the police. Officers arrived at the house soon after and secured the scene.

Dad at Home, Kids in His Care

Jaiswal, originally from Kheratiya village in Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district, had been living in Faridabad for work. Police said both parents were employed in private companies, with the father staying at home during the day to care for the children and oversee their studies.

Following a complaint filed at the Sector 58 police station, Jaiswal was arrested and presented before a local court, which granted police one day of custodial remand, PTI reported. The child’s body was taken for postmortem examination as part of the investigation.

“A case has been registered and the accused has been taken on police remand for further investigation. After the postmortem examination, the body was handed over to the family,” a Faridabad Police spokesperson said.

Authorities said further investigation is underway to establish all circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
