The Election Commission of India (ECI) has declared a new initiative aimed at enrolling eligible voters in Delhi, with special camps scheduled for September 27. This effort focuses on citizens who have been left off the draft electoral roll amid the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. This announcement comes after a considerable number of applications for voter inclusion were recorded prior to the camps.

Data on Form-6 Applications

Additionally, the report indicated that there were also 2,242 Form-7 applications, which allow for objections to be raised against proposed inclusions or deletions from the electoral roll. Furthermore, there were 44,582 Form-8 applications, covering requests for residency changes, corrections in entries, issuance of new Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPIC), and the marking of persons with disabilities (PwD) electors.

Special Camps for Young Voters

In conjunction with the main camps, the Chief Electoral Officer has scheduled special enrolment initiatives specifically designed for young voters aged 18 to 25. These camps will take place on September 29 and 30 at various colleges and universities throughout Delhi. Booth Level Officers will be available at these locations to assist young individuals with the enrolment process, providing electoral rolls and blank Form-6 applications.

Young citizens who are set to turn 18 by October 1, 2026, and whose names are not found in the draft electoral roll, are encouraged to attend these camps with the requisite documentation to apply for inclusion. These initiatives reflect the ECI’s commitment to engaging with younger demographics and ensuring they participate in the electoral process.

The CEO’s office has outlined that applications can be submitted through Forms 6, 6A, 7, and 8, with specific forms tailored for different purposes. Submissions can be made physically to Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), and designated polling station officials, as well as online via the Election Commission’s dedicated voter services portal and the ECINET mobile application.

Important Dates and Procedures

The claims and objections submission window will be open until September 30, 2026. Any applications made during this period will be reviewed and addressed by October 29, 2026. The final electoral roll is scheduled for publication on November 4, 2026, providing a complete list for upcoming elections.

Citizens are advised to verify their names against the draft electoral roll and take advantage of the special enrolment camps and services being offered during this revision process. Ensuring accurate representation in the electoral roll is paramount for enabling all eligible voters to exercise their rights during elections.
