In response to these revelations, Dr Piyush Mishra, the Chief Medical Superintendent of the hospital, filed a formal complaint against Pratap with the Chakeri police station. The administration has since instituted a three-member committee tasked with thoroughly investigating the matter. Police Begin Inquiry and Question Dr Ramkesh

The police have initiated their own investigation and have begun questioning Dr Ramkesh regarding the events in question. Initially hesitant to comment, Dr Ramkesh later stated that he was not aware of any such activities being conducted by his driver. However, CMS Piyush Mishra disclosed that he had received credible information suggesting the driver might have dispensed medications on earlier occasions as well.

Mishra characterised the situation as indicative of severe negligence that may have occurred within the hospital. He also mentioned that the possibility of Dr Ramkesh having knowledge of these actions is being evaluated as part of the inquiry. The case has been escalated to the state government, which has been notified of the developments in this troubling incident.

Further Actions by Health Authorities

The Additional Director General of Health has also been notified about the incident, and further details have been requested to assess the situation more comprehensively. ACP Chakeri, Ashutosh Singh, confirmed the registration of a case against Dev Pratap as part of the ongoing investigation. Singh stated that all aspects of the matter are under scrutiny, reflecting the serious nature of the allegations.

As the investigation unfolds, the hospital administration is under pressure to ensure that such an incident does not recur.
