CSR News: Donation of two School Buses to Schools in Madhya Pradesh

The CSR Journal Magazine

In a significant step towards empowering tribal and rural communities through education, Avaada Foundation has donated two 42-seater school buses to schools in Raisen and Bankhedi (Narmadapuram), Madhya Pradesh. This initiative is part of Avaada Foundation’s mission to make quality education accessible to children from remote areas, especially young girls who face challenges in reaching schools due to lack of safe transportation.

The buses were handed over to authorities at Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Raisen, and Saraswati Gramoday Higher Secondary School, Paliya Pipariya, Bankhedi. At the events, Mrs. Ritu Patwari, Director of Avaada Foundation, flagged off the buses and handed over the keys of the buses to the school authorities. The dignitaries present appreciated the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Ritu Patwari said:

“Education is the foundation of a strong and progressive nation. Every step that brings a child closer to school strengthens our nation’s future. By ensuring that students, especially girls, can travel safely and comfortably, we are helping them move closer to realizing their dreams.”

The two new school buses will serve students from several nearby tribal villages, ensuring regular attendance and reducing school dropouts. Avaada Foundation, which had earlier donated buses to schools in Dongla, Raisen, and Betul, now plans to extend similar support to Uttarakhand next month.

Beyond education, Avaada Foundation continues to drive social transformation across Madhya Pradesh through diverse initiatives, including establishing a state-of-the-art planetarium on the Tropic of Cancer in Dongla, Ujjain and conducting women empowerment programs such as stitching and skill-development training. Avaada Foundation has provided industrial sewing machines to 40 women linking them to the garment and textile industry for sustainable livelihoods.

Through these initiatives, Avaada Foundation remains steadfast in its mission of education, empowerment, and inclusive development, ensuring that no child or woman is left behind in the journey toward progress.
