CJP to Function as ‘Pressure Group’ for Institutional Accountability: Abhijeet Dipke

The CSR Journal Magazine

On August 5, Abhijeet Dipke, the Founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), announced that the party intends to operate as a pressure group aimed at fostering accountability and neutrality in various institutions, including the political system, judiciary, media, and Election Commission. Dipke emphasised the urgent need for public pressure to restore faith in these establishments, which he described as having significantly lost the public’s trust.

During his address to the press, Dipke stated, “Currently, CJP will function as a pressure group, as what India needs at this moment is such an initiative.” He elaborated that the movement has not only garnered support concerning educational issues, indicating a broader aim to instigate change across multiple sectors affecting public life.

Support for Jharkhand Students’ Protest

Furthermore, Dipke expressed solidarity with students from Jharkhand who are protesting against alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) competitive examinations. He indicated that the CJP may send representatives to Jharkhand to offer support, contingent on the needs of the protestors.

Dipke remarked, “We unequivocally stand with the students protesting in Jharkhand and fully endorse their demands.” He noted the importance of discussing strategies to enhance the movement nationally, reflecting a desire to unify support and strengthen efforts across various states in India.

In this context, Dipke mentioned that the CJP will be evaluating its future strategies during a forthcoming two-day core team meeting. This gathering is expected to yield a roadmap for the party’s activities aimed at bolstering its initiatives across the country.

Core Team’s Strategy Meeting Scheduled

The Cockroach Janta Party has scheduled a two-day strategy meeting to commence on August 5 in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Dipke highlighted the significance of this meeting in determining future actions. Following the conclave, a press conference is slated for August 6 at 2:00 PM, during which the party will disclose the outcomes and decisions made during the meeting.

Dipke stated, “Our members are actively participating in the Jharkhand protests; should the situation demand it, we are prepared to visit.” He underlined the necessity of strategising actions to mobilise a stronger movement that resonates with the citizens’ concerns regarding institutional integrity.

This meeting marks an important step for the CJP in aligning its objectives and mobilising support, as they seek to address a wide array of issues facing the country. The commitment to public pressure as a tool for change reflects a broader strategy aimed at addressing systemic failures within critical national institutions.
