A devastated Bengaluru community is grappling with the tragic deaths of Bhanu Chander Reddy and his wife Shazia, both of whom were suspected to have died by suicide on Monday. The couple, who worked as software engineers in private firms, originally hailed from the neighboring state of Telangana. Police reports indicate that Reddy was found hanging at their residence located in the Kothanur area. Upon discovering her husband’s lifeless body, Shazia reportedly jumped from the 17th floor of their building, resulting in her death.

Preliminary Investigations Suggest Marital Discord

Initial investigations by law enforcement suggest that ongoing marital discord may have contributed to the couple’s tragic decision. Authorities are also looking into Reddy’s health issues to ascertain whether they played any role in the incident. The couple had been married for nearly nine years, having lived together in a live-in arrangement prior to formalizing their relationship. Reportedly, they experienced frequent disputes after marriage, raising concerns within their social circle.

Ongoing Police Investigation

The Bengaluru Police have initiated a formal case to further probe the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the couple. Investigators are working to gather more information and insights regarding the series of events leading to this heartbreaking situation. As the inquiry continues, the community is left in shock, reflecting on the complexities of the couple’s personal life.

Separate Incident in Bengaluru: Family Found Dead

In a separate, unrelated incident, police discovered two women deceased on the outskirts of Bengaluru. Asha, aged 55, and her daughter Varshita, aged 32, were found with their throats slit, while Asha’s son Mohan, aged 27, and her 10-year-old grandson Mayank Gowda survived with injuries. Authorities believe that mounting financial difficulties may have led to this tragic outcome. Mohan and Mayank are currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
