Rajasthan Love Marriage Horror: Groom’s Brother’s Nose Chopped Off, Both Families Clash Brutally!

The CSR Journal Magazine

In a shocking incident from Barmer, Rajasthan, a love marriage that took place two and a half years ago has erupted into extreme violence. Shravan Singh (25), a resident of Jiwaniyon Ki Dhani, had married a local girl against her family’s wishes. The girl’s family, reportedly angered by the union, had been harboring resentment and seeking revenge against Shravan Singh’s family for over two years.

Brutal Attack on Groom’s Brother

The confrontation escalated on Wednesday evening around 7:30 PM when Uk Singh (35), Shravan’s elder brother, was returning from his field. Dharam Singh (50), the girl’s uncle, along with his associates, allegedly attacked Uk Singh and brutally chopped off his nose with a sickle.

Despite severe injuries, Uk Singh managed to reach home and inform his family. He was later admitted to Gudamalani Hospital and subsequently referred to Sanchore for advanced treatment.

Retaliatory Assault on Woman’s Uncle

Following the attack on Uk Singh, members of Shravan Singh’s family retaliated. They reportedly attacked Dharam Singh while he was on his way home, using an axe.

During the assault, Dharam Singh sustained serious injuries to one hand and his legs and was immediately shifted to a hospital in Jodhpur for treatment. The escalation highlights the extreme intensity of the long-standing feud between the families.

Police Action and Arrests

The Gudamalani police have formed multiple teams to investigate the case and track down other suspects. Senior officials confirmed that cross cases have been registered against both families. So far, seven individuals have been arrested in connection with the violent clashes.

From Shravan Singh’s side, Narayan Singh, Alam Singh, and Jalam Singh have been taken into custody, while Shankar Singh, Shaitan Singh, Tan Singh, and Sumer Singh were arrested from the woman’s family. Authorities assured that the remaining culprits would soon be apprehended.

Community in Shock

Residents of Jiwaniyon Ki Dhani expressed shock at the extreme violence stemming from a love marriage. Locals said that such disputes, if unresolved, often lead to retaliatory attacks, but few expected injuries of this severity. Police have appealed to both families to cooperate and allow the legal process to proceed to ensure justice and prevent further escalation.
