Three individuals were apprehended in relation to an alleged triple murder in Alwar, Rajasthan, where they are accused of running over three friends with a vehicle. On Tuesday, the accused were brought before a court and subsequently paraded through the locality. They exhibited visible injuries and were assisted by police personnel, appearing to limp as they were escorted. Notably, police had also cut their hair as part of their detention process.
Details Of The Incident
According to reports from the accused, Sachin Meena was driving the vehicle during the incident, accompanied by his friend Sagar Meena. Both have reportedly not been located and are considered to be at large. Their statements indicate that additional individuals were following in a motorcycle closely behind the car. Currently, police have detained six individuals as part of the broader investigation into the events surrounding the incident.
The police presented Amit, also known as Palta, along with Mahesh from Nayabas and Tanmay from Khadana Mohalla, before the Alwar court. Investigative findings suggest that Sachin had allegedly been tracking the victims for four days, allegedly utilising the assistance of various associates to monitor their movements. A mutual acquaintance reportedly tipped Sachin off regarding the victims’ whereabouts, informing him they were heading to a hookah bar in Moti Nagar.
Further investigations indicate that the victims were allegedly run over three times during the event. The police’s preliminary findings revealed that the vehicle was manoeuvred forward and backward multiple times over the individuals, suggesting a calculated effort to cause harm. Additionally, it was discovered that all occupants of the vehicle, including those in the back seats, were wearing seat belts, which raises questions about the incident being premeditated.
Identity Of The Victims
The three deceased have been identified as Jitendra alias Chhotu Rajput, aged 22, Yuvraj alias Yuvi Saini, aged 21, and Himanshu Sharma, aged 22, all residents of the Chor Dungri area. The victims, who had been friends since childhood, were reportedly killed on Saturday night when they were struck by the car. The families of the deceased have firmly rejected the notion that the incident was accidental, alleging instead that it was a deliberate act of murder.
A significant protest ensued outside the hospital following the incident, with members of the Brahmin community and various social groups joining the families in expressing their outrage. The families have voiced strong allegations that the three friends were targeted as part of an ongoing rivalry, suggesting that there may have been a premeditated motive behind the attack.
Authorities have stated they are actively searching for Sachin and Sagar Meena, who are considered the primary suspects in this case. Police officials confirmed their commitment to arresting all individuals involved as the investigation progresses. The president of the Karni Sena has issued a warning via video, stating that protests would intensify if the authorities fail to apprehend the suspects swiftly.
Community Response and Ongoing Investigation
The families of the victims, alongside community members, have issued an ultimatum to law enforcement officials to expedite the arrests. There is considerable pressure being applied to ensure justice is served, reflecting the seriousness of the allegations and the community’s desire for accountability. The incident has not only garnered local attention but also highlighted issues of safety and justice within the region.
The police continue to investigate the case thoroughly, making efforts to gather further evidence and testimonies. They have maintained that all suspects will soon be in custody and are committed to pursuing justice for the victims and their families.
